Francesco Totti agrees with coach José Mourinho for having decided to bet on the signing of Nemanja Matic (ex-Manchester United).
“If Mourinho made this choice, it means that Matic will be useful for the team. He’s already proved his worth in Europe, at big clubs, and you have to have the right mentality to play for Roma”, defended the former Italian international, speaking to Sky Italia.
Totti acknowledged that Roma need reinforcements to close the gap to the top places in the Italian championship: “To have the results we want we need great players. Roma are focused, above all, on returning to the Champions League. To achieve that, we need champions in our team.”
