The risk of military actions on the territory of Moldova is minimal. This was announced on Monday, May 9, by Prime Minister Natalia Gavrilitsa at a joint press conference with UN Secretary General Guterres, writes NewsMaker.
In particular, she assured that the Moldovan authorities are making every effort to eliminate tension on the border. According to Gavrilitsa, different diplomatic formats are used.
“We have already refuted the news of a possible mobilization several times. So far, we have not a single reason for concern and in order to resort to such a measure,” the Prime Minister said.
The UN Secretary General arrived in Chisinau on May 9. Previously, Guterres was supposed to meet with President Maia Sandu, but negotiations broke down due to her health problems. In the end, the general secretary met with Gavrilitsa.
Earlier it was reported that Russia has developed clear plans for the invasion of Moldova in the near future for opening a second front against Ukraine. For this she shakes the situation in Transnistria.
