The animal died from its injuries. The management decided to temporarily close the zoo in order to understand the reasons for the incident.
Eco was eight years old and enrolled at Naples Zoo in December 2019. Fewer than 200 Malay tigers live in the wild. In connection with the death of one of them, the zoo has created a special fund, all funds from which will be used to support the tiger population in Malaysia.
