PRO-GE Binder: Kocher, who is still the Minister of Economic Affairs, suffers from a loss of reality

The government has not tackled inflation, abolished the pension not to be taken away after 45 years of work and made part retirement more difficult

Vienna (OTS) In an interview with the Kronen Zeitung, the Minister of Economy and Labor Martin Kocher emphasized that the current government is the easiest in terms of workers in a very long time. Reinhold Binder, the federal chairman of PRO-GE, sees “a big loss of reality” in Kocher. It seems that Kocher has taken care of the last few years or he wants to whiten the situation in light of the upcoming elections, said Binder.

“Government’s lack of action to combat inflation has left many workers in dire financial straits. Only the good wage agreements and, in some cases, that fought hard above the rate of inflation could mitigate the worst,” Binder recalls. In addition, the turquoise-green government is responsible for eliminating the pension without contributions after 45 years of work, which will especially affect those people who have been doing hard work physically from the age of 15. And the variant block of partial retirement is also being phased out at Kocher’s order. “For people who can no longer physically hold out until normal retirement age, unemployment is the alternative,” Binder said.
