Amount student give a statement of attitude after the police incident slams the demonstrators in the district government Tangerang. The incident is considered to have a domino effect.
This statement of attitude was uploaded in the form of a video on the Instagram account @polreskotatangerang. In the video, a number of students can be seen lining up in front of the police station.
“Today, October 13, 2021, at 9:00 p.m., friends affected by the case have been sent home,” said one student representative, Wednesday (10/13/2021) night.
He said the police had repatriated the students who had been detained during the demonstration. The students have also undergone a cooperative examination process.
“Today also coincided with an incident that was beyond human control and the incident gave a domino effect on national issues that are currently developing,” said the student representative.
“With an important note, this is not the end of our struggle, friends, all students in Indonesia, this is a new passion, a new spirit of how we fight for people’s rights,” he continued.
One of the students who was ‘dismacked’ by the police, M Faris, also spoke. He said the incident was beyond the students’ control and he didn’t want that at all.
He also revealed the current conditions after being slammed by the NP Brigadier.
“My condition today is a little better, maybe later I will tell you more about my next condition,” said Faris.
NP Brigadier Apology
Brigadier NP and M Faris met after the incident. Openly, Brigadier NP apologized to Faris and said he was ready to take responsibility.
“I apologize to Mas Faris for my actions and I am ready to take responsibility for my actions,” said Brigadier NP.
In the press conference, M Faris was also present. The NP Brigadier and Faris then shook hands and embraced.
Banten Police Chief Promises Strict Action
Banten Police Chief Inspector General Rudy Heriyanto Adi Nugroho has met with M Faris. Rudy apologized and promised to take firm action against the police.
“On behalf of the Banten Police, I apologize to Faris’s brother and father who experienced acts of violence by the Tangerang Police during the security demonstration.
