Two drivers in Bocholt took a great risk for themselves and others – and their behavior brought a criminal complaint: The two men each drove a car in public traffic for which there was no liability insurance.
On Wednesday night, police officers checked a 39-year-old when he was driving on Ebertstrasse. When checking the data, it turned out that the previous liability insurance for his car had expired.
On Tuesday, a 50-year-old drove around a public parking lot without a license plate on the car – as a test drive. But even this fact did not save the person concerned from a criminal complaint. Such was also issued to the owner of the vehicle.
Anyone who acts in this way accepts serious consequences. Because if a traffic accident happens, very high costs can quickly arise – for property damage and especially for personal injury. Without a valid liability insurance, the driver or owner of the accident cause high recourse claims.
