Authorities are looking for a suspect in the violent robbery of an 85-year-old woman inside a building in the Bronx, the police officer announced.
According to the New York City Police, the incident occurred on Sunday, at about 3:10 pm, inside a building located in East 149th Street Y Morris Avenue.
Surveillance video shows the suspect dragging the victim, who was inside an elevator and was holding a cane, while holding her purse. Due to the force of the alleged thief, the old woman falls to the floor and ends up with pain in her hip.
The victim was transported to Lincoln Hospital by paramedics.
The suspect fled with the bag.
