IN OCTOBER
The blood tax paid by Epirus from the traffic accidents in October was heavy for another month. According to the report of the Traffic, last month in the territorial jurisdiction of Epirus there were –15-traffic accidents (as in 2022). In particular, the following were noted:
- -5-fatal traffic accidents (as in 2022)
- no traffic accidents with serious personal injury (as in 2022).
- -10-traffic accidents with minor personal injury (as in 2022)
Of the traffic accidents that occurred in urban and rural areas of the prefectures, they were recorded in total -18-sufferers (versus –21-the 2022). In particular, they were recorded:
- -5-dead(as well as in 2022)
- No one seriously injured(as in 2022)
- -13- slightly injured (against -16– in 2022)
The main causes of traffic accidents, as revealed by the police traffic investigation, were:
- Speeding
- Priority violation
- Marking violation
Traffic policing actions
In order to prevent traffic accidents, systematic checks were carried out on the road network of Epirus, which had the result of confirming overall (5,710) violations, of which single out the dangerous ones,as they lead directly to the traffic accident or decisively influence its outcome.

It is also noted that in the previous month (137) violations for driving license deprivation, (48) violations concerning uninsured vehicles and (935) commercial vehicle violations were confirmed.
