Darmstadt-Arheilgen (ots) – A 42-year-old man was arrested on Monday (September 6th) around 12 noon in front of his car in a supermarket parking lot on Schorlemmerstrasse by civilian officers from the Darmstadt-Dieburg police department. Witnesses had previously alerted the police when they became aware of the suspicious man in his Land Rover, where he allegedly held a gun in his hand and then put it in his pants. The officers who rushed immediately arrested the 42-year-old in front of his vehicle. During his search and that of his car, the police also found an unloaded alarm gun. The suspect was taken to the guard. There the ad was recorded, which included, among other things, an identification service and a blood sample. As it turned out in the course of the police measures, the 42-year-old suspect could be in connection with two escapes from traffic accidents in Jägertor- and Jakob-Jung-Straße. The ongoing research must show whether the man was under the influence of intoxicating substances and what the motivation for his trade today could be.
