41% of Ukrainians support the introduction of mandatory vaccination against COVID-19 – poll

28% of citizens believe that in Ukraine it is definitely necessary to introduce compulsory vaccination.

13% of respondents think that it is rather necessary.

At the same time, 12% of citizens doubt that this is necessary.

41% of respondents believe that compulsory vaccination in the country cannot be definitely introduced.

Another 6% of Ukrainians found it difficult to answer.

The survey was conducted from October 23 to November 2 among citizens over 18 years old throughout Ukraine, except for the temporarily occupied territories of Donetsk and Luhansk regions, as well as Crimea. A total of 2,400 respondents were interviewed face-to-face using a tablet.

Context:

In Ukraine the epidemic situation is gradually deteriorating, said on August 4, Deputy Minister of Health – Chief Sanitary Doctor of Ukraine Igor Kuzin. In the summer, less than 2 thousand cases were recorded daily in the country, in September the figure increased significantly. The fourth wave of COVID-19 in Ukraine started earlier than predicted, said the Minister of Health Viktor Lyashko on October 11.

The Minister reported that in September 95.7% of cases of coronavirus in Ukraine were reported among unvaccinated… According to Lyashko on November 10, 91-92% of hospital patients did not receive vaccinations… “If we had the level of vaccination at least in the European average, we would have a third fewer deaths every day,” the head of the Ministry of Health emphasized.

According to the Ministry of Health, only one dose of vaccine has been received since the start of the campaign. almost 12 million person fully immunized and received two doses of more 8.4 million human. In total in Ukraine more than 20.4 million coronavirus vaccinations have been made.

As of November 12 in Ukraine confirmed 3.1 million cases of COVID-19, 75.6 thousand patients died.

On October 4, the Ministry of Health approved the list of professions for which vaccination against coronavirus is mandatory… The order was published on October 7. The list includes employees of central executive authorities and their territorial bodies, local state administrations and their subdivisions, educational institutions and scientific institutions of all types and forms of ownership.
