4 men tried for gang rape and for broadcasting the scene on Snapchat

Some people are really cold-eyed, even if it means committing horrible acts, just to create a buzz on social networks. This is the case of four Toulouse residents who went so far as to film themselves while they were raping a woman … they then shared the stage on Snapchat!

The facts happened in 2018, but it took three years before the quartet finally went to justice. The trial began on Monday, March 1 in camera at the request of the victim who clearly does not want her situation to be even more publicized than it already is.

The men are accused of gang rape, but according to information reported by the media, the four do not seem to feel any remorse over their act. Ravyn Issa, the victim’s lawyer, said in particular that none expressed regret and even less apologies.

Three videos of rape on Snapchat

This is a sordid affair that dates back to September 16, 2018 in a residential suburb of Toulouse. The victim and his attackers met in a nightclub. Shortly before six o’clock, the men dragged the very drunk woman out to the parking lot. They then took turns sexually assaulting him while the others had fun filming the “show”.

Soon after, they shared the videos on Snapchat, regardless of the victim’s consent. For days, three different videos of the scene made a big buzz on the social network to the chagrin of the main concerned who then decided to file a complaint.

“Violated by the whole world”

For the victim of this gang rape, this whole story is doubly traumatic, because what happened to him was shared on social networks, and Internet users are not always compassionate. Some even had fun with the scene, only humiliating him further.

“With the dissemination of the videos, she felt doubly raped, she even says ‘raped by the whole world’. To be in front of his executioners today is extremely painful ”, lamented Me Issa.

The situation is all the more trying, because his attackers refuse to admit their wrongs. “It’s an evening that gets out of hand in a context of alcoholism”, argued in particular the lawyer of one of the accused. “At first, the relationship is agreed, after …”

Fortunately, and it is sad, but it is the videos in question which made it possible to prove the fault of the quartet and to put them under lockdown until justice finally decides on their fate.
