According to the social authorities, 304 new corona cases were registered in Hamburg on Wednesday. That is 97 new infections more than on Tuesday and 74 more than last Wednesday.
According to the social authorities, a total of 82,587 people in the Hanseatic city have tested positive for the corona virus since the beginning of the pandemic. According to estimates by the Robert Koch Institute (RKI), around 77,900 people in Hamburg can now be considered recovered.
Incidence value at over 90
The number of new infections per 100,000 inhabitants in the past seven days rose from 86.8 on Tuesday to 90.7 on Wednesday. A week ago the incidence value was 72.7.
More people in intensive care units
According to the information, 83 corona patients are being treated in Hamburg’s hospitals, 17 more than last stated. 32 of these are cared for in intensive care units – there was an increase of 11 patients. According to the RKI, a total of 1,636 people in the Hanseatic city have died in connection with Covid-19 disease since the beginning of the pandemic, the last time there was another death.
