211 people tested in Tatina, another eight are positive for covid

After the weekend, hygienists in the Pilsen Region report dozens of other patients infected with coronavirus. There are no new outbreaks. On Sunday, the Regional Hygiene Station (KHS) in Pilsen performed swabs from all citizens of the village of Tatiná in the northern Pilsen region, where ten people were already positive at that time. According to the director of the regional KHS, Přemysl Tomašuk, a total of 211 people were tested in Tatina. “It was well organized. There was a problem in Tatina that there are people in close contact, “commented Tomašuk. According to him, the infection was detected in eight other people. “We were afraid that the number would be higher. However, next week we will carry out control samples for all those who were negatively tested. The measures introduced in Tatina will thus persist, they will not be tightened,” Tomašuk added.

Other outbreaks, such as in the hospital in Horažďovice, where 38 people became infected, did not appear in the Pilsen Region. “Although about forty new cases were added over the weekend, these are always individual cases that are spread throughout the region and have no causal link,” said the director.

At the end of last week, the infection also appeared in one of the Pilsen police officers, who served in the Slavs. The office was completely closed.

In addition, the police have decided that from the beginning of this week, visitors must wear drapes in all buildings of the Police of the Czech Republic in the region. “Our departments are places where people move more, and we would like to eliminate the potential risk of the virus spreading. Therefore, we ask the public to use protective equipment on the mouth and nose for preventive reasons if they have to enter the buildings of the Police of the Czech Republic in the region. This is a preventive measure to protect not only police officers but also our visitors. For this reason, the veils will also be used indoors by police officers, “said Martina Korandová, a spokeswoman for the regional police.
