💼 SALARIES & PENSIONS
Despite slowly falling inflation, there will still be strong increases in salaries in the coming year. Both the public sector and the metal workers are scratching the 10 percent mark, while in retail there is around 8.4 percent more salary. Austria’s senior citizens are due to see a significant increase in their salaries, with the exception of luxury pensions. Increasing the women’s retirement age is becoming a reality for the first time. According to WIFO, inflation could fall to 3.2 percent in 2024.
