According to the social authorities, 144 new corona cases were registered in Hamburg on Sunday. That is 11 new infections more than on Sunday a week ago, but 6 fewer than on Saturday.
Since the beginning of the pandemic, a total of 1,691 people have died in connection with Covid 19 in the Hanseatic city by Saturday. That is 14 cases more than last reported.
According to the social authority – as of Friday – 132 corona patients are being treated in Hamburg’s hospitals. 48 of them are cared for in intensive care units.
The incidence value remains below 70
The number of new infections per 100,000 inhabitants in the past seven days rose slightly – from 67.4 on Saturday to 68.0 on Sunday. A week ago the incidence value was 84.6.
According to the social authority, a total of 89,711 people in Hamburg have tested positive for the corona virus since the beginning of the pandemic. According to estimates by the Robert Koch Institute (RKI), around 83,500 people in Hamburg can now be considered recovered.
