A 14-year-old Dutch boy died in a skiing accident in Austria. The Austrian newspaper reports this Tiroler Tageszeitung. According to the newspaper, the boy ended up outside the red piste during his descent. He then fell 25 meters down a steep slope.
The accident happened about 50 kilometers west of Innsbruck in the Hochoetz winter sports area. A nearby skier heard a noise and discovered the boy. The man shouted for help and went down to the boy. Another skier and a lift operator tried to revive the boy.
The emergency services then took over, but they could do nothing more for him.
