Police caught “several drivers” carrying fireworks to the border region. The police of the Breda-Marktdal team reported this on Facebook. It regrets that an increase in cases of fireworks disturbance has been reported “again” in recent weeks. He also says dozens of cars have been checked in Baarle-Nassau and the surrounding area. The police do it in impactful and inconspicuous cars.
The seized fireworks will be destroyed. You can only buy overseas fireworks that meet the requirements of Dutch regulations. It is also forbidden to carry fireworks from abroad to the Netherlands.
