Between September 12 and October 19, 2023, incorrect speed measurements occurred due to an error in the programming of the software of four new measuring systems in the city of Bern. Of the approximately 7,300 payments, 7,231 repayments have been made so far, the Bern cantonal police wrote in a statement on Monday. In the remaining cases, we are still waiting for a response regarding account details.

The programming error was corrected in the four affected systems with 2.2 meter loop spacing. The Federal Institute of Metrology Metas calibrated the devices again and then released them for operation. These have been in use again since Monday.
