1. Two break-ins in an apartment building – Offenbach

(aa) Burglars got into two ground floor apartments in Hugo-Wolf-Straße on Wednesday evening. The victims stated that the times of the crime were between 6.30 p.m. and 7.10 p.m. and between 10 a.m. and 7.10 p.m. In one case the perpetrators broke open the patio door and in the other a window for the respective entrance. The rooms were then searched. The thieves stole money and jewelry from one apartment, nothing is missing from the other. The Kripo asks for information on 069 8098-1234.

2. Obviously more damage done than booty done – Offenbach / Bürgel

(jm) Thieves broke into several allotments in Mittelweg between Monday and Tuesday afternoons and apparently caused more damage than they stole. In the allotment garden, the strangers leveraged some of the garden huts between 5.30 and 3.30 p.m. and stole lawnmowers, drill / drivers, water pumps and much more, among other things. In addition, by prying open, the thieves also caused damage worth a four-digit range to the garden sheds and even to a parked motorhome. So far, burglaries and attempts in eight parcels have been reported to the police. Witnesses who can provide information, please contact the Offenbach police on 069 8098-5100.

3. Serious rear-end collision on the B 486 – district Langen

(jm) A rear-end collision with two vehicles involved and three injured people on the federal highway 486 on Wednesday afternoon caused traffic obstructions and a temporary full closure. At around 5.30 p.m., a 41-year-old VW Passat driver drove behind a black VW Tiguan along the B 486 in the direction of Autobahn 661. At the height of the industrial area, the 52-year-old Tiguan driver had to brake due to traffic. Apparently the 41-year-old noticed this too late and drove onto the Tiguan. In the collision, the 52-year-old was seriously injured and the Passat driver and his 46-year-old passenger were slightly injured. In addition, the fire brigade had to be called in due to running out of resources. The VW Tiguan was no longer ready to drive and had to be towed. The total damage amounts to several thousand euros. The B 486 was temporarily completely closed between the Oberlinden exit and air traffic control. Witnesses who saw the accident can call the police station in Langen on 06103 9030-0.

1. Another check on the way to school and repeated explanation … – Erlensee

(aa) Police Superintendent Julia Koch was again active on Wednesday morning in Langendiebacher Straße in matters of school route safety. The on-site protection woman had, among other things, an eye on the school’s teacher parking lot, which is obviously very often illegally used by “parent taxis”. Some parents also stopped right in front of the school portal to let their protégés get off. Koch emphasized: “This repeatedly leads to dangerous situations, especially now during the darker months of the year, for the schoolchildren coming on foot or by bike. I therefore appeal to parents and grandparents to ensure the safety of all children.” Koch also found some bicycles with inadequate or defective lighting. She left it with the children at an admonition, trusting that they would work with their parents to remedy the situation. By the way: The protection woman repeatedly heard an explanation: “I just wanted to be quick …”

2. Burglary in company – Gelnhausen / Roth

(aa) Presumably several perpetrators broke into the warehouse of a company on Wednesday night “Am Spitalacker”. The burglars came to the fenced area between 6 p.m. and 7.40 a.m. and removed hedge trimmers, chainsaws and a robotic lawnmower, among other things. In addition, the office drawers and the showroom were ransacked. The criminal police asks for information on the break-in and the whereabouts of the loot on 06051 827-0.
