Main-Tauber-Kreis: Accidents in snow and ice
Due to the weather, there were several traffic accidents in the Main-Tauber district on Sunday. A 27-year-old’s Audi slipped on a slippery road on Sunday evening, around 8.30 p.m., between Creglingen and Kreisstraße 2890. Before a left turn, the car drove straight ahead into an adjacent field and hit a stone there. The man was unharmed. The property damage to the vehicle is still unknown. In snow, a 19-year-old came off the lane with his Mercedes-Benz in Boxberg on Sunday. The young man was in the left lane on Autobahn 81 at around 3:30 p.m. When he was coming from Würzburg in the direction of Heilbronn shortly after the Ahorn motorway exit, his left side of the vehicle got into the slush there. As a result, the car skidded and crossed the right-hand lane and the hard shoulder. Main-Tauber-Kreis: Two accidents in the rain

A 32-year-old drove his Peugeot on federal highway 290 in an ascending direction at around 10.30 a.m. In a right turn, the vehicle turned left onto the opposite lane. When the man counter-steered the car drove into the grass verge and skidded. Finally, the rear of the Peugeot came to a halt in the ditch. The driver and the 8-year-old child who were traveling with them were able to leave the car independently and unharmed. An ambulance crew happened to be nearby, taking precautionary care and taking the child to a hospital. In addition to the police, the volunteer fire brigade was also on site. The Peugeot suffered an economic total loss of around 4,000 euros. He had to be towed. Heavy rain and a wet road on Friday evening led to an economic total disgrace of a Seat Leon in the amount of around 15,000 euros. Külsheim-Steinbach: Hysterical girls resist the police
Two girls between the ages of 15 and 16 defied police officers on Saturday and verbally abused them. The young people’s parents had notified the police and reported their daughters missing. Investigations revealed that the girls were staying with an acquaintance in Steinbach. When the police officers arrived at the scene at around 10.30 p.m., they found the youths drunk. Despite repeated requests, the young women refused to give their personal details and shouted hysterically. They refused to leave the apartment and come to the police car. When the 16-year-old tried to escape into the darkness on foot, a police officer held her and took her to the patrol car. Against this she offered massive resistance and tried to tear herself away. The woman fell in the scramble. In the course of the operation, the 15- and 16-year-olds insulted and threatened the police officers. A breath alcohol test carried out showed a value of 1.4 per thousand in the 16-year-old. The 15-year-old did not do a test. The police officers handed the girls over to their parents. Both young people must now expect reports of resistance and insults.
Mulfingen: On the way in oncoming traffic and fled after an accident
After an accident in Mulfingen, the police are looking for a white sprinter with an Ansbacher license plate. On Sunday, a 53-year-old was driving her VW Golf from Mulfingen towards Hollenbach. At around 1:50 p.m., the Sprinter came towards her on the side of the lane, which is why she turned left onto the opposite lane and deviated from the lane there. A forgotten meal on the kitchen stove led to a deployment of the police and volunteer fire brigade in Bad Mergentheim on Friday morning. These drove to Kopernikusstrasse at around 9:30 a.m., where a smoke detector was sending out acoustic signals. When the emergency services entered the affected apartment, they also noticed light smoke. The 77-year-old resident forgot to heat his food. The man was physically exhausted from the smoke. An ambulance crew took him to a hospital as a precaution.
Lauda-Königshofen / Unterbalbach: racing cyclist seriously injured in a fall
Because the front wheel of a 54-year-old racing cyclist slipped on Saturday afternoon, the man fell on Beethovenstrasse in Unterbalbach. The athlete was on the bike path at the old sports field around 4 p.m., from where he wanted to turn left over the Tauber Bridge. When his bike slipped, he rolled over and sustained serious injuries. An emergency doctor took care of him on site. An ambulance crew later took him to a hospital.
Wittighausen: I didn’t notice the blinking and turning
An overlooked turning maneuver led to an accident damage of around 9,000 euros on Friday afternoon. While a 62-year-old was driving his semitrailer on Landesstraße 511 in Wittighausen in a south-westerly direction and wanted to turn, a 24-year-old started to overtake. At around 3 p.m. there was contact between the Seat and the truck. Both drivers were uninjured.
