The employees of two petrol stations in Titiseestrasse were attacked by a fraudster in the afternoon of April 1st, 21st.
The previously unknown man paid for a roll with a 100 euro banknote.
When the employees were about to give him the change, the man, who spoke with a foreign accent, got involved in a conversation and took advantage of the brief distraction of the shop assistants to put in a 50 euro note of the change.
Afterwards he told the sellers that they had given him 50 euros too little. Since the employees were each unsure, they gave him the requested money.
The man then left with the illegally obtained money in an unknown direction.
The perpetrator could be described as follows:
The man had short black hair, was wearing a black T-shirt, light-colored jeans and dark shoes. He had tattooed both arms.
The Titisee-Neustadt police station has started the investigation and asks witnesses to call 07651 9336-0.
