At a time when everything seems to be global and virtual, the artists Jörg Tacke and Pero Dordic have created a counterpoint with a strictly limited edition of city posters: as a commitment to their own city. Under www.lieferlokal.de you will find the artistic illustrations of numerous cities, which you can order as art prints for your own four walls. Each work depicts the cultural highlights and the subcultures of a city, reflects the attitude towards life and names the unique words that characterize the respective metropolis or small town.
With the name “Lieferlokal” the poster makers want to express that modernity – ordering goods online and having them delivered to your home – and a classic shop in the heart of a city where you can meet face to face cannot be ruled out. “We believe in traditional values mixed with new lifestyles,” says Jörg Tacke. “Our posters reflect the brands and markings that make up life and cities,” says his partner Pero Dordic.
Heidelberg, Stuttgart, Dortmund, Bonn, Cologne, Frankfurt, Munich, Münster, Bochum, Rostock, Hanover, Düsseldorf, Leipzig, Mainz, Dresden, Wiesbaden, Berlin, Duisburg, Oberhausen, Essen and Bergisch-Gladbach are currently available as art prints. The selection is growing steadily, because the two artists are constantly looking for inspiration for new motifs. You will find suggestions not only in contact with the official bodies of the municipalities, but above all in social media and in exchange with “ordinary people”. The highlight: Anyone who loves where they live can make a suggestion at the delivery location to include their own city in the edition series. Work in progress is currently in Wuppertal, Nuremberg, Bremen, Hamburg, Bielefeld, Augsburg, Gelsenkirchen, Braunschweig, Aachen, Kiel, Bremerhaven, Mönchengladbach, Leverkusen. Editions 1 and 1999 cost 139.90 euros. “I fell in love with the Bonn poster the first time I looked, because I spent my best years in the former capital. Of course, I chose the year associated with it as the edition number,” says Patrick Dripke, one of hundreds of satisfied customers.
