Snyder’s comment that Mendelson compared the film version of Justice League with the cartoons that give in the morning comes from the review the critic made of the film in 2017.

So far nothing indicates that this cut will have a Category R, ​​so obviously the director is not talking about that and would rather be referring to the tone of the production.

In that sense, Snyder’s comment is in line with something that fans of Man of Steel and Batman vs Superman They have brought up many times to defend those films and in general Snyder’s proposal, and that is that the director would offer a darker or more mature approach to superhero films.

But of course those and other impressions of what Snyder presented in those productions are diverse and in general vary according to people, so it is likely that the same will happen with the reception of the Snyder Cut.

Although, in any case, it is still striking that the director promotes the film by emphasizing that it will be aimed at an adult audience since inevitably one wonders what else Snyder could include under that umbrella.
