(CNN) – Zac Efron says he “recovered” after getting sick while filming a survival reality show in Papua New Guinea.

The American actor confirmed on Twitter and Instagram on Monday that he reported that he had received medical treatment after a health problem.

“Very grateful to everyone who contacted me,” he told his followers. “I got sick in Papua New Guinea, but I recovered quickly and finished an incredible 3 weeks in P.N.G.”
