Yoshinori Kitase tells about the next episodes

Final Fantasy 7 Remake (PS4) does not cover the entire original Final Fantasy 7 story and instead only adjusts Cloud’s first exploits in Midgar. While the title of the game may not give such an indication, plans Square Enix only that it will be the first in an upcoming series, but it has never been mentioned how many parts the series would be exactly.

In an interview (translated by IGN) spoke producer Yoshinori Kitase and co-director Tetsuya Nomura about the coming parts. Part 2 is not over yet! So there will be several episodes.

Final Fantasy 7 remake: how many episodes will be released?

Loud Kitase has the Final Fantasy 7 Remake (PS4)-Development team currently have no idea how many remake episodes are coming, so it’s currently almost impossible for them to talk about. This reflects previous claims and shows that the project is more or less in the same place. He then followed this comment and said: “It seems that many people think it will be a trilogy”, referring to the fans and followers of the remake series.

Tetsuya Nomura added that everything depends on how that Square Enix-Team tackled the project. If it decides to handle it in larger pieces, the release takes longer. On the other hand, small pieces would allow them to publish the next part faster. “I personally would like to deliver it quickly ”said Nomura about his opinion on things.

Which way will Square Enix take?

The Final Fantasy 7 remake will keep us busy for a while. Episode 1, if it is later renamed this way, is far from over. If you go Nomura’s way, more parts than 3 could appear. It would be a little worrying if the first game covered and expanded something so small just so that its successors could do the opposite. The “black spots” from the original game have now finally been given an action and Final Fantasy 7 becomes a true epic.
