Amid reports of Myanmar troops moving to Yangon, the largest city, young people in the city held a musical demonstration with classical instruments.

According to the AFP news agency, UN Special Rapporteur Tom Andrews issued a statement on the 17th and said, “There are reports that soldiers are moving from remote areas to Yangon.”

Rapporteur Andrews was concerned that, in past cases, the movement of troops could lead to mass killings, disappearances and detention.

In the midst of this, Myanmar’s military has blocked Internet access across the country from 1 am. This is interpreted with the intention of hiding the movement of military forces that take place at night, adding to the fear of local residents.

With this amplified tension, thousands of people are already protesting in downtown Yangon.

Some young people bring out classical instruments, play, break dance, etc., and show resistance art on the stage of the protests.

In downtown Yangon this week, violin, cello, trombone and percussionists gathered to unveil the song’Revolution’, a symbol of resistance. In the commercial district, dancers were seen dancing to the beat and B-boys spinning.

In an AFP interview, one male dancer said, “People ask me if I am happy to dance, but I don’t dance because I am happy. It’s giving off a burning emotion.
