The opportunity to play demos from the upcoming games will of course be free. All you have to do is find the Game Fest Demo tile on the Xbox One desktop, under which the collection of games will continue to grow.
Microsoft also points out that these are not classic demos that represent the final quality of the game. Demo versions will only be available for a week, however, some will be released again as classic demos.
The complete list of games will be unveiled on July 21. Confirmed so far are JRPG Cris Tales, the remake of Destroy All Humans !, RPG Haven, action RPG Hellpoint, Skatebird action or action adventures The Vale: Shadow of the Crown and Raji: An Ancient Epic.
The quarantine thus forced large publishers to think differently. The ability to play a snippet or demo of an upcoming game right at home on your Xbox is more attractive than just watching videos. And it’s a likely path for the gaming industry and events like E3 in the future. An alternative is streaming, to which selected journalists or influencers are invited, who will try out the demo of the game from home and then publish their impressions. We will also test this method for the first time this year.
