Xbox: Microsoft will no longer support ‘Halo’ services for Xbox 360 in December 2021

Developer 343 Industries has made a statement in a blog post specifying that the vast majority of online services of Halo for Xbox 360 will be permanently withdrawn from December 2021.

The services that will be turned off include multiplayer mode like pairing and online serverswhile custom games will continue to work. File sharing and player customization may also be disabled.

The features that will be turned off are varied, for that reason, 343 Industries published a graphic where the services that will stop working when the blackout starts are perfectly appreciated.

This change is understandable, given that the video game is more than a decade old since they were released. However, the most hardcore users of the franchise will be able to get the Halo: The Master Chief Collection for Xbox Series X / S, Xbox One consoles and Windows 10 PCs for US$ 40.
