Sam Roberts and McKenzie Mitchell discuss today’s matchcard.

Andre Chase offers his services to Team 2.0 (Bron Breakker, NXT North American Champion Carmelo Hayes, Tony D’Angelo & Grayson Waller), but they refuse. Carmelo Hayes also announced that today’s match will start.

Main-Show:

Vic Joseph, Wade Barrett and Beth Phoenix (who will be the commentator for the last time on NXT 2.0 today, we reported HERE) welcome us to NXT 2.0 WarGames. The show will open with the Women’s WarGames Match, after Alicia Taylor explains to us the rules of the match in two rings as usual. After both teams have entered the hall, the first war games begin!

1. Match
Women’s WarGames Match
Raquel González, Io Shirai, Cora Jade & Kay Lee Ray won against Dakota Kai & Toxic Attraction (Mandy Rose, Gigi Dolin & Jacy Jayne) via pin from Cora Jade to Jacy Jayne after a Chingona bomb by González.
Match time: 31:23
– Various weapons, such as folding chairs, kendo sticks, garbage cans, a table and a skateboard, found their way into the cage and were used there by the opponents at will.
– Order of entrances:
1. Kay Lee Ray (00:00)
2. Dakota Kai (00:00)

4. Gigi Dolin (08:30)
5. Io Shirai (12:00)
6. Jacy Jayne (15:30)
– Cora Jade landed a Swanton Bomb from the edge of the cage against Jacy Jayne, who was lying on a table and thus carried her through the piece of furniture. Medical staff then wanted to go to Jade’s cage because of a shoulder injury, but Io Shirai took matters into his own hands and put her shoulder back in her hand.

Josh Briggs and Brooks Jensen’s motivations are highlighted in a video clip.

Boa sits on the throne of Tian Sha in another single player. Mei Ying gave him her power before she disappeared, but he has not yet been able to control it. However, once he learns this, NXT 2.0 will fear him.

MSK’s (Wes Lee & Nash Carter’s) journey is briefly summed up. Next Tuesday at NXT 2.0 we will finally get the opportunity to get to know your shaman!

Team Black & Gold (Tommaso Ciampa, Johnny Gargano, Pete Dunne & LA Knight) prepare for their WarGames match in the locker room. Johnny Gargano mentions that this could possibly be his last match on NXT 2.0. The other members, apart from a mute Pete Dunne, motivate the group before Ciampa announces that this will be Gargano’s big moment today.

2. Match
WWE NXT Tag Team Championship
Tag Team Match
Imperium (Marcel Barthel & Fabian Aichner) (c) won against Kyle O’Reilly & Von Wagner via pin through Marcel Barthel to Kyle O’Reilly after the Imperial Bomb.
Match time: 14:55

In the ring, Von Wagner calls for his tag team partner to applaud his tag team partner under “Thank You Kyle”, as his contract with WWE is about to expire (we reported HERE). Suddenly Von Wagner tries to attack him from behind with a lariat, but Kyle O’Reilly reacts quickly, ducks in time and can bring Wagner to the ground with knees and forearm blows. O’Reilly can only be celebrated briefly and then leaves the ring.

Ikemen Jiro presents us with his beautiful suits in a single player.

We also see in a brief review the feud between Santos Escobar and his Legado Del Fantasma against Xyon Quinn. McKenzie Mitchell has Escobar and Co. with him and asks them about recent events. Escobar promises Quinn has bitten off more than he can chew and will prove it in their match next Tuesday. Mitchell questions the recent close-door meeting of Elektra Lopez with Xyon Quinn, but she makes it clear that the content of these conversations is of no interest to anyone.

What follows is a recap of the Cameron Grimes-Duke Hudson feud. In the back ring there is a small hairdressing salon with all the necessary utensils to free the loser of the following match from his head hair, while the match will take place in the front ring.

3. Match
Hair vs. Hair Match
Cameron Grimes won against Duke Hudson via pin after a roller with a handle on the pants.
Match time: 10:24

Hudson is obviously shocked by his defeat and unsurprisingly tries to flee afterwards, but Cameron Grimes manages to get him into the ring with the razors. There, however, Hudson can gain the upper hand and place Grimes in the waiting chair before he turns to the razors. Grimes uses this time to take a deep breath and can even bring the Cave In to the finish. Then he puts Hudson in the armchair, grabs the razor and frees Hudson from his head of hair. A shaved Duke Hudson then flees onto the stage and can still not believe the defeat and the loss of his hair.

We see Grizzled Young Veterans (James Drake & Zack Gibson) on the street, where they cheat unsuspecting passers-by to get a hot meal.

Kacy Catanzaro and Kayden Carter go to as many music festivals as possible in their spare time, so they were at EDC Orlando last month. You want to bring the party from there into the halls and the NXT 2.0 Universe to be a part of it.

Draco Anthony is sitting alone in a cafe. He wants to prove that his actions speak a clearer language than the words of his competitors. It is what NXT 2.0 needs.

The issue of NXT 2.0 on January 4th will be themed “NXT New Year’s Evil”.

Team 2.0 (Bron Breakker, Carmelo Hayes, Tony D’Angelo & Grayson Waller) are also preparing for today’s main event in the locker room.

In retrospect, we see how Joe Gacy got a chance to win the NXT Cruiserweight Championship. When they arrive in the ring, both are introduced by Alicia Taylor, Strong receives the much more positive reactions from the audience. Then the title match begins.

4. Match
WWE NXT Cruiserweight Championship
Singles Match
Roderick Strong (w / Diamond Mine: Malcolm Bivens, Julius & Brutus Creed, Ivy Nile & Hachiman) (c) won against Joe Gacy (w / Harland) via pin after the End Of Heartache.
Match time: 08:27

We see a hungry Ikemen Jiro, who first orders and nibbles all kinds of fast food, before throwing it away again after a short digestive break.

Kyle O’Reilly is interviewed by McKenzie Mitchell about the turn of his now former tag team partner. He claims to have smelled it against the wind for kilometers. This year is the first year of his NXT career where he is not in the WarGames Match, but he still wants to satisfy his craving for steel cages. So he challenges Von Wagner to a steel cage match on Tuesday, because Wagner certainly wants to finish what he started.

A look back shows us how the following WarGames match came about and also reminds us of the individual feuds that will come together in this match.

5. Match
Men’s WarGames Match
Team 2.0 (Bron Breakker, NXT North American Champion Carmelo Hayes, Tony D’Angelo & Grayson Waller, w / Trick Williams) won against Team Black & Gold (NXT Champion Tommaso Ciampa, Johnny Gargano, Pete Dunne & LA Knight) via pin Bron Breakker at Tommaso Ciampa after a Military Press Powerslam.
Match time: 38:17
– Trick Williams was able to transport a folding chair into the cage, which was used by his protégé Carmelo Hayes, but also by other participants. He also supplied his team with kendo sticks and numerous tables.
– Order of entrances:
1. Carmelo Hayes (00:00)
2. Johnny Gargano (00:00)
3. Grayson Waller (05:00)
4. Pete Dunne (08:20)
5. Tony D’Angelo (11:30)
– After pulling out several tables from under the ring, Trick Williams tried to get more utensils from deeper under the ring. There, however, instead of another weapon, Dexter Lumis came to light, which Williams drove into the backstage area.
– Tony D’Angelo locked the cage door with the help of a chain and a padlock to keep the next participant from Team Black & Gold outside. This was successful at first, but LA Knight nonetheless gained entry to the fight by climbing the cage wall.
6. LA Knight (14:45)
– Several referees tried unsuccessfully to crack the lock installed by Tony D’Angelo with the help of a bolt cutter before Bron Breakker took over personally.
7. Source Breaker (18:45)
8. Tommaso Ciampa (22:00)
– Tony D’Angelo removed Pete Dunne’s mouthguard and put it in his pocket.
– #DIY made a comeback when Ciampa and Gargano worked Breakker with the Meeting In The Middle.
– Before the finish, Ciampa wanted to bring the Fairytale Ending against Carmelo Hayes to the finish line, but at the last second was pushed by Breakker with the Spear through a table leaning in the corner. This then led to the finish.

After some highlights of the match, we see Bron Breakker, NXT North American Champion Carmelo Hayes, Tony D’Angelo & Grayson Waller celebrating their win in the ring together. With these pictures NXT 2.0 WarGames ends!
