The shortage of staff in care is dramatic: homes, clinics and outpatient services are looking for employees everywhere. It is not uncommon for beds or even entire wards to remain empty. In order to attract nursing staff, the Würzburg University Hospital has been on the offensive since mid-November with a special job campaign: Work when and how much you want – that’s what “Flex4UKW” promises. The nursing staff in the newly created “Flexteam” can decide freely. This is intended to compensate for failures and strengthen the regular teams. 160 full-time positions are to be created in this way.
