TEHERAN Iran worried that the nuclear reactor will be bombarded by the military Israel after the Zionist regime claimed the right to use its force to prevent Tehran from acquiring nuclear weapons. Tehran, in its letter, raised its concerns with the head of the UN Security Council.

The letter written by Iran’s Ambassador to the United Nations Majid Takht Ravanchi was submitted on Thursday (14/10/2021).

“We warn the Zionist regime against miscalculations or military adventures targeting Iran and its nuclear program,” said Ambassador Ravanchi’s letter published by the news agency. Tasnim, Friday (15/10/2021).

He accused Israel of taking provocative threats and military adventures to an alarming level.

“The systematic and explicit threats by the Zionist regime prove that they are responsible for terrorist attacks on the peaceful nuclear program” [Iran] in the past, “the Tehran diplomat continued.

Earlier, Secretary of State Yair Lapid met with United States Secretary of State Antony Blinken and United Arab Emirates Secretary of State Abdullah bin Zayed in Washington on Wednesday. Lapid said Israel reserves the right to use force to prevent Iran from obtaining nuclear weapons.

“Other options will be on the table if diplomacy fails,” Lapid said. “By saying other options, I think everyone understands – here in Israel, in the Emirates [Uni Emirat Arab], and in Tehran—what we mean.”

He added that, as the son of a Holocaust victim, he and Blinken knew there were times when the state had to use force to protect the world from evil.
