Midsummer, a Swedish company engaged in the construction of innovative solar panels, has decided to invest in Puglia. It envisaged an investment of 60 million euros and the hiring of 200 people including clerks, technicians and workers.
“After a long research in Europe and in Italy – reads a note from the Puglia Region – in the end he chose the industrial area of Modugno (Bari) for the new settlement. The plant will produce flexible photovoltaic modules, so requested by the market that making it necessary to expand production with the opening of a new industrial site in Europe “.
The search for the shed began a year ago. The company was looking for an area of 2,500 square meters in a lot that would lend itself to subsequent expansions up to a maximum of 5,000 square meters. The research was entrusted by Invitalia to Puglia Sviluppo.
