[아시아경제 나한아 기자] A female tourist who was taking a selfie right in front of a famous waterfall in India was caught by a rapid current and drowned in a river.

According to the New York Post on the 15th, a young woman named Nirupama Plaza Party visited a waterfall in a famous tourist destination in Odisha, eastern India, with friends on the 3rd.

In the video, the woman took a stretch selfie while holding a cell phone at the edge of the rapids where the waterfall falls. Other tourists were outside the rapids, while she was standing inside the rapids.

At that time, a man slipped behind her while taking a selfie, slipping and bumping her slightly, and she immediately lost her balance and was sucked into the rapids of the water in no time.

The river wasn’t deep, but the current was so strong that no one could prevent her from being swept away by the river.

After 22 hours of search, the rescue team found the body deep in a rocky crack about 400m from the accident site.
