In the Groningen town of Grijpskerk, a 57-year-old woman was stabbed to death in the street. Massively summoned emergency services have resuscitated her, but to no avail.
A 36-year-old man has been arrested for the stabbing. He comes from nearby Zuidhorn.
The cause of the stabbing is unclear. The police do not want to make any statements about the relationship between suspect and victim.
