Woman Asks Her Mother-in-law to Take Care of Her Baby Despite Sickness, Scandal Explodes When She Leaves the Baby to ‘Strangers’

Erabaru.net. Gwen left their daughter with her mother-in-law, Annette, but her father-in-law had to leave the baby with a stranger because he was ill. Gwen was furious and vowed never to speak to or allow her mother-in-law near her children until something unexpected happened.

“Please, Annette. You should bring Elaine. Josh and I really want to see this show, and we probably won’t get much more with the arrival of our second baby,” Gwen pleaded with her mother-in-law over the phone. Her daughter, Elaine, is 4 years old, but they are expecting another child in a few months.

Therefore, he asked his mother-in-law, Annette, to babysit many times, and it was always a pleasure. The grandmother loves to love her granddaughter. However, things are a little different this time.

“Gwen, baby. I don’t think I can. I’m not feeling well, and I don’t want your child to get sick,” Annette repeated. He had already told his daughter-in-law about his current illness, but Gwen wasn’t listening.

“Help. you have to do it. You promised us that you would help him when I had him. I’ll send Elaine with a face mask or something. That’s your job as a grandmother,” Gwen insisted, and finally, Annette relented. .

“Okay, take him.”

“Thank you! Thank you! I go now!” said Gwen excitedly and threw a coat on her daughters as they hurried out the door.

“Tonight is perfect. I know we won’t get many opportunities like this with the arrival of our second baby, so thank you, honey,” Gwen said to Josh on the way back to Annette’s house as the show ended.

“I like it too. But I’m happy with our baby. How about you call Annette and tell her we’re on our way?” Josh suggested, and Gwen nodded.

“Oh, I just remembered I’m still using this in airplane mode,” he commented with a smile, and returned the phone to normal mode. Suddenly, a lot of messages came in, and his phone recorded several missed calls. “Lord, your mother called several times.”

“Did something happen?” Josh asked, slight concern in his tone.

“Who knows. There’s a voicemail,” Gwen said and hit play.

Annette’s gruff, strained voice filled the car. “Gwen, baby. I’ve called and texted many times. I had to go to the hospital but I didn’t think taking Elaine with me would be a good idea so I left her with my neighbor Mrs Johnson. I’ll talk to you later.”

“What?” Gwen shouted as the voicemail ended. “He left our daughter to a stranger?”

“Now, Gwen, try to calm down. He said he went to the hospital. Something happens-“

“I don’t care where he goes! He should have taken our child with him!” Gwen interrupted her husband with more screaming. “I do not believe this! We believed him, and now our child is with a stranger. Something could happen to him! Drive faster, Josh!”

Gwen and Josh arrive at Annette’s house and find her neighbor, Mrs. Johnson, inside. “Oh, you guys must be Josh and Gwen. My darling little one is asleep. Annette–”

“I don’t care. You shouldn’t be watching my little girl. We were going out with our girl, and you told Annette she would never see my son and my future child again! Gwen snapped while running into one of the rooms where little Elaine was sleeping soundly.

He grabbed his girl and rushed outside. “Let’s go, Josh,” he whispered firmly, and Josh looked apologetically at Mrs. Johnson as they left.

Josh thought Gwen would sort out the situation in a few days, but she didn’t. Annette had to go to the hospital because she had difficulty breathing. He was fine, fortunately, but Gwen had left him a scathing note, repeating what he had told Mrs Johnson.

Despite grandma’s best efforts to apologize and make amends, Gwen won’t budge, and Josh can do nothing about it. Annette has been completely disconnected from her son and grandson. But Mrs. Johnson tried to cheer her up and said everything would be all right.

It happened when Gwen was in labour, and Josh wasn’t answering his phone. He had a big meeting that day but he should have brought his cell phone because Gwen was nearing her due date. However, her water suddenly broke, and she was terrified. No one is watching Elaine and no one is taking her to the hospital.

So, he did the only thing he could think of. “Gwen? Is everything okay? You finally called me,” Annette sounded surprised as she answered the phone.

“Annette, my water broke and Josh isn’t responding,” Gwen said desperately. “I’m sorry… for being too presumptuous about this, but I really need your help.”

“I am on the way!” Annette immediately answered. But Gwen wasn’t done yet.

“You think… Miss Johnson could come too? We need someone to stay with Elaine,” Gwen added, holding her stomach from the sudden pain.

“Are you sure?”

“Yes, please,” the birth mother yelled, and they hung up.

Annette and Miss Johnson got home quickly. Annette and Gwen went to the hospital while the other older women stayed to babysit. Gwen apologized profusely on the way to the hospital for all she had given her mother-in-law these past months, especially since they never asked if she was recovering from her illness.

Luckily, Annette was quick to forgive.

Josh arrived a few hours later after rushing out of his office.

“From now on, we will answer the phone no matter what happens or where we are!” Gwen screamed during the contractions.

“Yeah, I think that’s for the best,” Josh replied, comforting him and smiling at his mother. Luckily, the baby was born safe and sound, and all is well with their family.
