The total confirmed cases of coronavirus in Bulgaria are already 679 983. 2 899 960 PCR and 3 473 096 antigen tests were performed (6 373 056 in total), as the average percentage of positive samples since the beginning of the pandemic is 10.66 percent – again a decrease by 0.01% on a daily basis.
The active cases are slightly increasing and are now 106,572, which is 56 more than in the previous report. However, there is a decrease in the number of hospitalized persons, as they are 7001, which is 167 less (734 were admitted to hospital, 901 were discharged). There are 777 patients admitted to intensive care units – 2 more on a daily basis. 3,026 people have recovered and the total number is now 545,753. 151 people have died – 103 less than on Monday, when there were 254 victims. Thus, the total number of those who lost the battle with the virus in Bulgaria is now 27,658.
The Ministry of Health has already provided data on the proportion of those infected, hospitalized and deceased who have not been fully vaccinated.
