Chairman of the Presidential Advisory Council (Wantimpres) Wiranto met with student representatives from BEM Nusantara. The meeting discussed issues related to cooking oil to the issue of President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) for three periods.
“Well, today with the permission of the President, we held a meeting with fellow students, BEM Nusantara to communicate the things that we are currently facing, which this country is facing,” said Wiranto to reporters at the Wantimpres building, Jalan Veteran, Jakarta. Center, Friday (8/4/2022).
Wiranto said that in the meeting, students conveyed many things. They discussed various issues in the form of cooking oil issues, price increases ahead of Idul Fitri, to the issue of extending the presidential term.
“Earlier with the students they conveyed many things, the issue of cooking oil and the cartel’s increase in basic prices ahead of Lebaran, tax and energy issues were also discussed, and lastly they discussed the issue of extending 3 periods and postponing elections,” he said.
Wiranto said that technical issues were not discussed at the Wantimpres office. The former Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs said that the matter would be discussed further with the ministers.
“Things related to technical issues are certainly not discussed here at the Wantimpres office, but we will continue, we will continue to talk about the relevant ministers who will be dealing with student problems,” he said.
Wiranto said that regarding the extension of the period and the postponement of the election, he had communicated with the students. According to him, it was just a discourse.
