Award-winning German director Wim Wenders wants to give schoolchildren a better understanding of how to deal with the modern wave of images. “One of the most important things young people are confronted with today, which is the storm of images, doesn’t happen in the classroom,” Wenders said at the Düsseldorf Film Museum on Friday. Babies are exposed to images from birth, some of which are not suitable for them. “We wanted to fill this gap with our educational project”, underlined the director. On Friday, Wenders, born in Düsseldorf in 1945, gave the green light to the film education project “A European School of Vision”.
