Will transport awaken the Balkan economy? 24 Hours Discussion (Video)

Slowly and painfully Bulgaria and its neighbors are coming out of the road and railway isolation. Sometimes the effort takes decades, as in the case of the non-existent railway line with northern Macedonia.

The Balkans are trying to build ties with each other. Transport corridors are hoped to awaken the economy in the Balkans. We want this to happen faster, but it is a matter of political will, money, priorities and economic interests.

Why are there only two bridges on the Danube that connect us with Romania? The missing railway line with Northern Macedonia is historic. What will happen to the European Corridor №8 – from the Albanian city of Duras through Northern Macedonia to Bourgas and Varna? The Struma highway, which is the artery to Greece, tripped over the Kresna Gorge. How will it be overcome?

The answer to these and other questions gives the discussionorganized by “24 hours”, “Connected Balkans”.
