It was around 2pm on Tuesday that the pig drive took place. The wild ride is said to have started in Vogts vei in Lande and ended in the area by the skate park at the Sarpsborg stadium. Then, among other things, the young sarping had driven his car through the railway underpass, which is otherwise only used by pedestrians and cyclists. On his way there he stopped by a corner of a house and through several gardens and hedges. Before that again he drove through a large fence. In connection with that, a large plank came through the windscreen of the car.
Ran away on foot
After stopping the car at the stadium, the driver ran away on foot. However, he was quickly overtaken by the long arm of the law.
The police know the man well from before. As far as Sarpsborg Arbeiderblad knows, he is also listed as the owner of the car.
No driver’s license
The young sarping does not have a valid driver’s license. He will be charged with drunk driving in a previous case that has not been settled.
The extent to which he began his wild journey only because he lacks a driver’s license is not known. Now he has been guilty of far more serious offences, which in turn could quickly have fatal consequences for other people.
It is currently unclear whether the man was intoxicated while driving.
– It is too early to say anything about that. We also do not know so far whether there could be other reasons than the lack of a driver’s license which is the reason for the wild driving on the run from the police, says Daniel Holm, section head of investigations at Sarpsborg police station.
