Widespread Discontent in Russia over Putin’s Nomination for Fifth Presidential Term

Not all residents of the Russian Federation are happy that Putin has nominated himself for a fifth presidential term.

From March 15 to 17, the Russian Federation will hold presidential elections for the 8th time. The current head of state nominated his candidacy for a record 5th term. However, many residents of the Russian Federation understand perfectly well that the choice was made long ago and in their place.

Journalists from opposition channels decided to edit a video regarding the opinion of Russian citizens on Putin’s candidacy and the opinion of those politicians who nominated themselves for president, the channel reports “Ukraine 365“.

Many residents of the Russian Federation asked to obscure their faces because they were afraid of Putin, but they said on camera that it was enough for the dictator to sit in the Kremlin, and his term had long come to an end. Also, many Russians understand perfectly well that the elections took place a long time ago and without their participation.

Presidential candidate Nikolai Kharitonov could not answer the question of whether he could win the presidential race. Vladislav Davankov also answered this question with a question, depending on what is meant by the word “victory”. Boris Nadezhdin, who initially opposed the war in Ukraine and does not welcome Putin’s foreign and domestic policies, said that he would be glad if he remained alive and free after this presidential race.

At the end of the video, the journalists showed Putin’s achievements over the past 24 years: war, poverty, devastation, cold, shortages, and so on.

Earlier, analysts from ISW explained the strange selection of candidates for the families of those killed in the war against Ukraine for Christmas dinner with Putin.

Let us recall that analysts from the Institute for the Study of War analyzed in detail Kirill’s interview regarding the “independence” of the Russian church from politics.
