“Why did you make me come back?” The life-and-death experiences of our fellow human beings

Death has been the inevitable end of existence since the beginning of life. As biological beings, we are also mortal, over time we lose loved ones, friends, colleagues, acquaintances, and in these moments death stings the most.

Harry Vagrant’s book “Beyond Death” does not claim to be the absolute truth. It offers an exciting and surprising, courage-inspiring and also peace-inspiring insight into what 11 Latvian residents experienced during their near-death experience.

Harijs Vagrants (real name – Harijs Kadiķis) is a theologian, publicist, musician and traveler. The author believes that in the light of near-death experiences, it is possible to look at death as a powerful process of spiritual transformation, which brings peace, fulfillment, as well as many inexplicable surprises.

Until now, Latvian readers have had the opportunity to familiarize themselves with Harija’s work in the publications “Street Musician’s Diary” (Mansards) and “The Wicked Adventures of a Crazy Backpacker” (Zvaigzne ABC).

The cheerful researcher had the idea for this book about five years ago, because he has always been interested in the different states of human consciousness. He had heard the first stories about near-death experiences even earlier – fifteen years ago.

“I happened to meet a man named Uldis, who is unfortunately already dead now. I also mention him in the introduction to the book. Uldis had overdosed on heroin, and he still managed to tell me about this experience: he said that his body “died”, but he himself was in a completely different place. In a reality embedded in love, where he had understood all the secrets of the universe, the meaning of life and everything else. I found it extremely interesting.
