Who will speak at the Republican National Convention? Where will the Republican National Convention be? | Univision News Elections in the US 2020

The venue for the event where Donald Trump will accept the Republican Party nomination for re-election will be Charlotte, North Carolina, but there will be several events that will take place remotely, including the acceptance speech from the president, who will speak Thursday from the White House.

The Republican Convention has been divided into four major themes:

Monday 24: “Land of promise”

Trump nomination: 336 delegates at the beginning of the event in Charlotte for the ‘roll call’, the vote that made the nomination of Donald Trup and Mike Pence official as candidates for re-election.
Shortly afterwards, the president appeared in person in the auditorium and offered a message to the delegates that was not within the convention’s schedule.

Keynote Speakers: Former UN Ambassador Nikki Haley; South Carolina Sen. Tim Scott, and Donald Trump Jr.

Tuesday 25: “Land of opportunities”
Keynote Speakers: First Lady Melania Trump, from the White House Lawn; Secretary of State, Mike Pompeo; Kentucky Senator Rand Paul, and Tiffany Trump.

Wednesday 26: “Land of heroes”
Keynote Speakers: Vice President Mike Pence, from historic Fort McHenry in Baltimore.

Thursday 26: “Land of greatness”

The night that President Donald Trump will accept the nomination, from the White House gardens, and will be presented by his daughter and adviser Ivanka Trump.

Other Speakers: Secretary of Housing, Ben Carlson; Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell; Leader of the Republicans in the House of Representatives, Kevin, McCarthy.

Among some of the guests will be people seeking to counter criticism of Trump made last week at the Democratic Convention for his handling of the coronavirus pandemic that in the United States has killed more than 175,000.

There will also be a strong accent on promoting the right to carry arms, defending the work of the police forces and deepening controls on undocumented immigration.
