Unterfoehring, June 2, 2020 – Groundbreaking catch-up games await football fans in the Bundesliga and Bundesliga 2 this Wednesday. Sky will broadcast the games Werder Bremen against Eintracht Frankfurt and Hannover 96 against Dynamo Dresden live.

The relegation battle has flared up in the Bundesliga and Bundesliga 2. Due to victories from Düsseldorf and Bremen in the last few weeks there are only five points for the 12th (Frankfurt) and the relegation place (Düsseldorf), so that teams such as Augsburg, Union Berlin and Mainz also have to tremble. Werder gets hope in the relegation battle after seven points from the last three games. With a win in the catch-up game, they could leave the direct relegation zone for the first time since matchday 20. However, the Hanseatic League have been waiting for a home win since matchday three.

The Frankfurt team ended their four-month negative streak without a win at the weekend and defeated Wolfsburg 2-1. With another three points in Bremen, the Hessians could get rid of the biggest relegation worries. The first leg in Frankfurt ended 2-2.

Sky will broadcast the game live and exclusively on Wednesday at 8.15 p.m. Wolff C. Fuss comments on the game from the Bremen Weser Stadium. Patrick Wasserziehr conducts the interviews.

In another catch-up game on match day 26 of the 2nd Bundesliga, Hannover 96 and Dynamo Dresden meet. Half of the second division is currently playing against relegation – there are only six points between the 9th (Bochum, 36 points) and the 16th (Karlsruhe, 30 points). Hannover 96 is also in 11th place in the table with 36 points and could even slip to sixth place in the table with a win against Dresden. Dynamo, on the other hand, urgently needs to score in order to be last in the table to keep the gap to the saving table positions. The Dresdeners have currently completed 24 points, but also three games less. Dresden lost the comeback after the Corona break at weekend 0-2 against VfB Stuttgart.

Sky will broadcast the game live on Wednesday from 6.20 p.m., commented by Roland Evers.
