WHO Corona Investigation Team Visits’Wuhan Virus Research Institute’ | Voice of America

To investigate the origin of the novel coronavirus, an international investigation team from the World Health Organization (WHO) visiting Wuhan, China, visited a local research institute suspected of a virus outbreak today (3rd).

‘AP’ news agency and others reported that the WHO investigation team visited the Wuhan Virus Research Institute, the most important place to find out the origin and spread of the novel coronavirus.

It is known that the investigation team stayed at the research center for about three and a half hours and interviewed representatives of the research institute.

An official from the investigation team said to the reporters asking about the results of the visit, “It is very interesting. There are a lot of questions,” he said, but did not disclose the details of the interview.

The Wuhan Virus Research Institute is one of the places suspected of leaking the virus when the coronavirus first appeared in Wuhan in December 2019.

The former administration of Donald Trump in the U.S. has alleged that the laboratory leaked the coronavirus.

The WHO investigation team, consisting of 13 multinational experts, arrived in Wuhan on the 14th of last month, went through a two-week quarantine period, and began a full-scale investigation from the 29th.

Meanwhile, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Wang Won-bin said at a regular briefing yesterday (2nd), “The US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention also wrote a research report stating that corona19 antibodies were found in blood samples from some blood donors in December 2019.”

He said, “This means that Corona 19 had already occurred in the United States at the time,” and argued that the United States, like China, should invite the WHO investigation team to cooperate in investigation and research.
