Tedros said there were stark differences in the number of cases around the world.

As is known, more than one million people have died from this virus, after the United States, India and Brazil experienced the most cases of infection globally.

“Although all countries have been hit by the virus, it must be remembered that this is an uneven pandemic. Ten countries account for 70 percent of all reported cases and deaths. Only three countries account for half,” said Tedros.
