No, it’s not Miami, ni Beverly Hills, the city in which the largest number of millionaires in the world live or at least in which they have their properties is New York.
That’s what the latest report from the financial information firm revealed Wealth X and the real estate platform REALM. We tell you more about it.
New York, a magnet for millionaires
The city that never sleeps turned out to be a magnet for millionaires, as no other city on the planet has a greater number of individual owners with ultra-high net worth, defined here as higher than the 30 million dollars.

The study entitled “Spotlight on the World’s Leading Markets for the Wealthy: Residential Real Estate 2021”Is an attempt to find out where ultra-high net worth homeowners actually live.
And the results left no room for doubt: some 24,660 millionaires (understood as people with a net worth of more than 30 million dollars) certified to have at least one primary or secondary residence within the Big Apple, in December 2020.
That figure makes New York the world leader by a wide margin. Follow him The Angels, which houses 16,295 millionaires; London (with 14,485 residents of ultra-high net worth), Hong Kong (14,235) and Paris with 7,035 wealthy owners.
Why include secondary houses, you may be wondering. Wealth X and REALM say the decision to count both allowed for a “more holistic view” of the “residential footprint” of the ultra-rich. The report found that the majority of secondary residences are located in global cities of the “West”, with London leading the way.

Of the ultra-high net worth people who call the Big Apple home, only 47 percent have their primary residence in the city.
This reflects New York State as a global center for finance and commerce that offers a rich combination of luxurious cultural and lifestyle opportunities, high-quality education and premium real estate, the study says. Robb Report USA.
Yet while New York has the highest net worth individuals, the highest density mega-wealthy title belongs to Monaco, where one in 29 residents meets the study’s criteria.
So, New York would be the city with the most homes owned by millionaires, while Monaco is the place where people with high net worth are really concentrated. And you, where would you like to move?
