Edy Emoh Leads North Sumatran Democrats: Angry Later Regional Police Commander

Medan, CNN Indonesia

Governor of North Sumatra Edy Rahmayadi mentioned as a potential candidate for chairman of the DPD Democrat North Sumatra next. Responding to the issue, Edy admitted that he objected because he already had many duties as governor.

“If the governor holds the captain, the Pangdam will be angry, the Kapolda,” said Edy to a number of reporters at the North Sumatra Governor’s Office House, Wednesday (6/10).

It was different when the North Sumatran Golkar DPD chairman was held by the North Sumatran Deputy Governor Musa Rajekshah alias Ijeck. According to Edy, Ijeck might be able to because he has a lot of free time.

Unlike him who has more duties as governor.

“The deputy (governor) has a lot of free time,” he said.

Edy also admitted that he was not interested in joining a political party. Especially if asked to lead the party at the provincial level. According to him, there are many tasks.

“It’s legal. Ask me whether I want it or not? No, it’s not like the governor becomes chairman. Just one thing, taking care of you (journalists) is difficult,” said Edy.

It is known, the appearance of the name Edy Rahmayadi in the election for the Chairman of the North Sumatran Democratic Party DPD was stated by the Secretary General of the Indonesian Young Star DPN (BMI) Gomgom J Sihombing at the Consolidation Meeting of the DPN, Task Force with North Sumatra DPD and DPC BMI on Sunday (03/10/2021).

According to Gomgom, apart from Edy, Akhyar Nasution is also eligible to run for the candidate for chairman of the North Sumatran Democratic Party DPD.

Edy Rahmayadi and Akhyar Nasution are considered to have very suitable characters because they are known by the people of North Sumatra and have a history of organizing large numbers of people.
