Ceyhan continues: “Certain measures will be taken in schools, but it is not easy to take these measures. The Scientific Committee mentions a distance of 1 meter in its recommendations. This is not safe at all. Below 1.5 meters is dangerous. This distance should be 2 meters, especially if the child is going to take off his mask. How will you achieve this distance in a 50-person school? At a summer school in Georgia, although classes were held outdoors, a virus-positive child infected 44 percent of the other children. So children are contagious. Would I send my child to school under these conditions? I guess I wouldn’t. “
Professor Dr. Ceyhan thinks that the Ministry of Health, not the Ministry of Education, should decide whether the schools will be opened or not and opens a parenthesis: “If the subject is health, education or work is secondary. He should stay. MEB says, ‘We will make our decision soon, when schools are opened’. Why? Then the picture will not be better than now. Decisions must be made now, and everyone should take their precautions accordingly. “
