The Income Campaign is the most important event of the year for taxpayers because it is the occasion in which they have to regularize their situation with respect to the Personal Income Tax, the IRPF by which salaries, pensions, unemployment benefits.
Millions and millions of people in Spain are obliged to present the Income Tax return, the instrument with which we catch up with the Treasury on personal income tax matters. To do so, however, you must comply with the organization’s requirements, including the calendar.
Declarations can only be submitted when the Income Tax campaign begins each year. In this edition, the 2023-2024 Income Campaign, the start of the deadline is Wednesday, April 3, the date on which access to the draft and the presentation of the returns electronically is allowed.
It will not, however, be the only date to take into account for the Income Campaign. As stated in the taxpayer calendar published by the Tax Agency on its websitethere are other key days during the next three months:
- Monday, April 29: the period opens to request an appointment to submit declarations by telephone.
- Tuesday, May 7: the deadline for submitting declarations via telephone begins.
- Wednesday, May 29: It is the first day to make an appointment to submit the returns in person at a Tax Agency office.
- Monday, June 3: the deadline for submitting returns in person at the Tax Agency offices begins.
- Wednesday, June 26: is the last day for presentations with results to be deposited and direct debit.
- Friday, June 28: is the last day to request an appointment.
- Monday, July 1: The Income Campaign ends on this day.
